FamPay UPI Fraud – Refund Wrong Payment to Scammer

Today I accidentally sent a UPI payment of 299 as my tuition fee through Fampay to an unknown person. This was the first payment I made for my tuition, and I sent it after they provided me with their Fampay QR code; after scanning it I made the payment by mistake. After realizing the mistake, I immediately contacted the person via WhatsApp and Facebook and asked them to return the money, but they refused. They blocked me on Facebook and stopped replying on WhatsApp, which clearly shows scam behaviour. I also tried to reach them by normal phone calls, but the number does not receive incoming calls, and I tried WhatsApp calls several times but they did not answer. I have screenshots of our WhatsApp chat, the QR code they sent, and the payment details. Because this was my tuition fee and an important amount for me, I am seriously affected by this situation. If I do not get this money back, I will not be able to pay my tuition fees and I may not be allowed to sit for my exams. In addition, for each day that my fee is not paid, I have to pay a fine of 1,000 rupees, so the total penalty is increasing daily. I therefore request not only an urgent refund of the 299 amount, but also that the person responsible be made to cover the 1,000 rupees fine for every day that this issue remains unresolved. I am also worried that this person may have used the same method to scam many other people. I kindly request Fampay to urgently investigate this transaction, block the scammer’s account to prevent them from cheating others, take serious action against this account, and arrange a full refund of the 299 amount back to my account along with compensation for the daily 1,000 rupees fine as soon as possible.
