On August 14, I made a reservation for Tiflis Kindli Boutique Hotel through Booking.com. During the booking process, the site requested my credit card details, which I entered into the system. Immediately after entering my card information, three separate charges appeared on my account: $69.99 on August 16, $8.99 on August 17, and $119 on August 18. These transactions occurred only after I provided my card details on Booking.com.
When I contacted the hotel, they confirmed in writing that no charges had been made on their end. I then contacted my bank, canceled my card, and was informed that since the payments were still pending in authorization, a refund process could not yet be initiated. Despite reaching out to Booking.com customer service, I have received no reply or support regarding this issue. I also checked my account and email for any suspicious activity or security alerts, but none appeared. The last four digits of my card were 4922.
If these charges are indeed connected to Booking.com, I expect the full amounts to be refunded without delay. If there is a security breach involved, I demand both an immediate refund and a clear explanation of how my card details were compromised.
