I Face Refund Refusal After Booking Car Rental in Samos Greece
On August 11–12, 2024, I booked a car rental in Samos, Greece through Booking.com (Reservation No: 635600906). During the reservation process, I completed a payment of €170 and entered all my information correctly. When I arrived at the rental office to pick up the car, I was shocked to be told that the vehicle would not be delivered to me without any explanation.
I immediately contacted Booking customer service. Instead of helping, they told me the reservation had been canceled because I allegedly failed to notify them within one hour, and therefore my payment would not be refunded. At no point during the booking process was such a rule clearly stated, and I was left completely stranded.
What makes this worse is that I found out another customer experienced the exact same problem on the same date, which makes me believe this is a systematic issue. I ended up without a car and lost my €170.
I demand that Booking resolve this situation immediately and return my full payment without delay.
