Booking.com Lisbon Hotel Charged Extra City Tax Despite Full Payment

I booked a hotel in Lisbon through Booking.com, with all taxes and fees included in the total price. However, upon arrival, during the automatic check-in process, I was forced to pay an additional city tax. This charge was not disclosed at the time of booking, and I had already paid the full amount, including all supposed fees.
Despite providing all necessary documents proving my payment, Booking.com refused to take responsibility or secure a refund from their partnered hotel. Instead of protecting customers, they chose to leave me at a loss. This is unacceptable! I demand a full refund of the wrongly charged amount. Booking.com must ensure transparency in pricing and hold their partner hotels accountable!
