Duplicate Billed Copenhagen Hotel Reservation Triggers Booking.com Refund Claim
I made a reservation via Booking.com for the Meininger Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark, for the dates between October 26 and October 30. During the booking process, the payment was collected through Booking.com, and the transaction was completed successfully. However, the following night, I noticed that a second charge was made for the exact same stay, this time directly by the hotel, and this second transaction was billed separately to my credit card statement.
My bank account activity shows two separate deductions: one on September 10 at 15:16 titled Trip.com for 22,205.10 TL, and another on September 11 at 03:54 titled Meininger Hotel Copenhakoebenhavn for 22,633.81 TL. Despite paying for only a single stay, I was double-charged in this manner, and I cannot find a clear representative to address the issue.
The phone numbers I tried using to reach Booking.com customer support are disconnected, and I cannot receive active support. I am also having difficulty reaching the hotel directly, and to date, no refund has been reflected on my credit card.
I demand the immediate refund of the overcharge drawn from my credit card—specifically the duplicate collection amount—and a clear, written explanation regarding the process.
