Booking.com Reservation Canceled by Bronte Hotel Without Notice

I booked a stay at Bronte Hotel through Booking.com for October 1-3, 2024, and paid in full upfront. However, upon arrival, I was shocked to learn that my reservation had been canceled due to my "late arrival" and the room was given to someone else. I received no notification of this cancellation, and the hotel refused to refund my payment. Despite initially agreeing to a late check-in, the hotel still gave my room away and refused to return the money.
This situation has caused both financial and emotional distress, and I urgently demand a refund for the amount I paid. If this issue is not resolved, I will escalate the matter to legal authorities. Booking.com, allowing such behavior from hotels reflects poorly on your platform. I expect a professional response and immediate action to resolve this situation.
