Booking.com Payment Taken But Hotel Denied Reservation

I made a booking through Booking.com for SR Guest House in Chennai for 1 night, with a check‑in date of 3 June. The amount of 1615 INR was deducted from my account, but when I arrived at the property in person, the staff denied my stay and told me that there was no booking done in my name. I did not receive any valid reservation number at the property, and despite the payment being taken from my account, I was refused accommodation on the spot. This caused me serious inconvenience, as I had relied on the Booking.com confirmation when planning my stay. I request Booking.com to urgently process a full refund of 1615 INR that was deducted from my account and to provide a clear explanation of how this situation occurred and why my booking was not properly confirmed with the property.
