Booking.com, Last Minute Fully Paid Reservation Cancelation, Request Refund

I made and fully paid a non‑refundable reservation via Booking.com for GBH - Central Townhouse in Skagen for 1–8 August, in the amount of 2,535.17 DKK. The full amount has already been charged to my account, and the booking is shown as paid and confirmed. Today the property owner contacted me through the Booking.com messaging system and informed me that they are cancelling our fully paid stay due to renovation, even though the reservation remains active in the system. Despite this message, no official cancellation has been processed on Booking.com and, most importantly, no refund or alternative accommodation has been offered to us. We have also already bought plane tickets for this trip, which cost 140 EUR in total, so this last-minute cancellation of a fully paid, confirmed booking means both a financial loss and that our planned holiday is effectively ruined. I request that Booking.com steps in and ensures that the already paid amount of 2,535.17 DKK is fully and promptly refunded, and that my 140 EUR flight cost is also compensated. In addition, since we are now left without a holiday because of this situation, I kindly ask that you support us with a meaningful discount or advantage for an alternative trip so that we can actually take a holiday instead of losing it completely due to this property’s last-minute renovation decision. I expect a prompt and solution‑oriented response and intervention in this matter.
