Booking.com Error Charge – Paid for a Room That Wasn’t Booked, No Refund Yet
On October 16, 2025, I attempted to make a reservation for two rooms for four guests at the Lighthouse Hotel in Alexandroupoli (Dedeağaç) through Booking.com. During the booking process, an error occurred, and the reservation did not go through. Shortly afterward, I received an email from Booking.com asking, “Would you like to proceed with the booking?” When I clicked “Yes,” the system informed me that the rooms were no longer available.
However, despite the failed booking, a charge of ₺30,121.00 was withdrawn from my credit card ending in 8122. This is unacceptable since no reservation was confirmed and no service was provided.
I tried to reach Booking.com customer service multiple times but received no response. I have both the email from Booking.com confirming that the booking failed and a bank message showing the charge.
I demand that my ₺30,121.00 payment be refunded immediately—within today, as this was an unauthorized transaction for a service that was never received. If my refund is not processed promptly, I will have no choice but to take legal action.

Booking.com service is totally disappointing, nothing works. Booking.com has started STEALING!!!
