Booking.com Charged Me for a Hotel Reservation That Didn't Exist
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with how my recent billing issue has been handled. I was instructed by your team via email to contact Best Western East Towne Suites in Madison, WI to cancel a reservation for June 9, 2026. When I spoke with the hotel’s front desk several times, they informed me that no reservation under my name for that date existed in their system and therefore there was nothing for them to cancel. The hotel also mentioned that they have experienced this same type of problem with Booking.com many times in the past. Despite the fact that the hotel had no record of any reservation, a charge from Booking.com in the amount of $115.49 appeared on my credit card statement. I have no way to reply directly to your previous emails, as they are sent from a “noreply” address, which has made resolving this even more difficult. I kindly request a full refund of the $115.49 that was charged in connection with this non‑existent reservation. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I would like this matter to be resolved in a peaceful and straightforward manner. Please review this situation, reverse the charge, and confirm the refund as soon as possible.
