I booked a stay at Hotel National Bern in Switzerland through Booking.com for the dates May 27–28, with a total payment of 266 CHF. However, I later canceled the reservation—and despite doing so, my money was never refunded.
When I contacted the hotel, they told me that cancellations are non-refundable under any circumstance. I then informed them that if I wasn’t going to be refunded, I would at least like to use the room I paid for. But even after that, they completely ignored all my messages and never responded.
On top of that, Booking.com makes it nearly impossible to reach a real customer service representative. I’ve tried contacting them through their platform, but I haven’t received any assistance or even acknowledgment.
I consider this a case of unfair profit, and I am extremely disappointed. Booking.com and the hotel are both responsible for this poor experience. I demand a full refund or, at the very least, a proper explanation. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will take legal action without hesitation. Customers deserve transparency and support—not to be ignored and charged for a service never used.
