Asus G513QM HQ358T Constantly Fails and Support Ignores Me
I purchased the Asus G513QM HQ358T Gaming laptop (Serial No: M8NRKD038902339) in 2022, expecting high quality and long-term performance. I specifically chose Asus, paying a significant amount, because I trusted the brand for professional design work. Unfortunately, from the day I bought it, it has been nothing but a nightmare. Here are the persistent issues I've faced:
Display cable malfunction: Replaced once by the service center, but the same issue has now returned.
Boot/trigger problem: Claimed to be fixed by service, yet the laptop still hangs on a black screen every single day when starting.
Wi-Fi disconnecting entirely: No networks appear. I was told to hold Shift + Power for 40 seconds to reset—which is a temporary and unreliable workaround.
Freezing and power failure: When the laptop freezes or fails to detect Wi-Fi, I’m forced to use the 40-second shutdown method. Often, it won’t turn back on unless I unplug and replug the charger multiple times until the charge light turns on—then I deal with the black screen again.
Outer screen frame coming apart: Poorly glued by the service center.
Despite repeated service visits, none of these problems have been permanently resolved. It feels like Asus support is just trying to stall until the warranty expires. Once it does, they show no interest in helping at all. I bought this machine for graphic design, but it’s proven completely unreliable.
It’s unacceptable that my 2012 T*-brand laptop still works flawlessly, yet my modern Asus laptop won’t even boot consistently. Asus has let me down both in product quality and customer support. I demand that Asus take full responsibility for this defective product and provide a lasting solution—not just more temporary fixes.
