I purchased an Asus Vivobook with 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a 15.6-inch screen, expecting reliable performance—especially when it came to battery life. Unfortunately, the battery is nowhere near what was advertised or expected from a laptop in this range.
When fully charged at 100%, the battery initially shows a usage estimate of 6 hours and 40 minutes. But after just 30–40 minutes of light use, the remaining time suddenly drops to 1 hour and 20 minutes. This kind of performance is completely unacceptable.
I sent the device to Asus service, hoping they’d address the issue, but they claimed there was no problem and sent it back without offering a solution or accepting a return. I’m now stuck with a laptop that can’t reliably function on battery for even a couple of hours.
I bought Asus believing it was one of the best brands in the market, but this experience has completely changed my view. I feel misled and ignored. I demand a proper inspection, acknowledgment of the faulty battery behavior, and either a replacement or refund.
