I purchased the Acer Nitro 5 (model NG-AN515-58) laptop in May 2023 with an RTX3050 and 8GB RAM. For the first four months, I used it regularly for gaming and daily tasks. However, after that, the laptop began freezing, locking up the screen, and giving blue screen errors. It became unusable for both gaming and regular tasks. I’ve sent it to Acer’s technical service twice, in the 10th and 11th months, and they reset the BIOS each time, claiming no hardware issues were found. Despite their fixes, the problem continues, and I’m still unable to use the laptop properly.

It’s been months, and I’m frustrated that I can’t use my laptop as intended. I will send it in for service one last time, and if the issue isn’t resolved, I will file a formal complaint. I have videos and pictures documenting the issue.

On October 16th, the technical service representative called to provide information, stating that the motherboard ordered for the repair had arrived at customs. They mentioned that it would collectively arrive at the technical location on Friday, where they would conduct tests, and it would be delivered this Monday. We'll see, hopefully, my issue will be resolved, and it will be the last time I send the laptop. After receiving and using it, I will provide an update on the matter.

I'm updating as of October 21. I received a call from the Acer authorized service; they said the motherboard spare part came from abroad, but the part that arrived was defective. They said they would reorder it, and it would take 2 weeks. I asked how something like this could happen, mentioning that I would have to wait another month and that I had sent it to the technical service 3 times, always being inconvenienced. I said there would be another problem because I no longer believe in this brand. Even if it gets fixed, I will have issues again, and I've become so frustrated with the computer that I've lost interest in it. This time, they offered me a return report. I requested a return report with a wet signature, and they said it would be prepared and sent within 2 weeks. I spoke with the seller, Vatan Computer, and asked how the process would work since the technical team would provide a return report. They said they would review the report and, based on it, offer a refund or exchange. If a refund occurs, it will be difficult to buy a computer at the same price I paid. If it's an exchange, I don't know if they will provide it at the same level. Time will tell, and I hope for the best. However, I've lost interest in this company and dealing with this issue. Whatever happens, time will tell because this computer would have caused me trouble again, and another problem would surely arise. I believe there is good in every misfortune, and I hope I won't encounter an unfavorable outcome.

On 07.10.2024, I received my Acer replacement report, which took about 2 weeks to arrive. Today, I submitted my application with the replacement report and my invoice to the place I bought it from, Vatan Bilgisayar. They said it would be evaluated for replacement within 2 days, and they would contact Acer to finalize the replacement. If they have the exact model available, it will be a one-to-one replacement; if not, they will offer a similar replacement. I will provide an update once it is finalized.

I am sharing the situation as of today, November 11. Vatan says that they do not have the model in stock, but they have a display product available. They say they can give it to me if I accept it. I did not accept it as a return or a display product. As my legal right, I requested an exact replacement, and if it's not in stock, an upgrade to a higher model. We communicated this to Vatan Computer via email. The manufacturer, Acer, did not accept this. The authorized service gives a legal decision for replacement in the RMA report, yet Acer does not accept it. When I emailed the authorized place, they told me to discuss it with your seller, the importer Index company. In other words, they are all avoiding responsibility and stalling through each other. Since these issues were not resolved, I have applied to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and the Consumer Court today. I believe that the court will decide for an exact replacement. From now on, the court will be the party to deal with, and I will provide updates as the situation develops.

On January 20, as a result of the Consumer Arbitration Committee's decision, thankfully, a decision for exchange with a similar product was made, my justification was accepted, and I have completed the necessary procedures. Now, Vatan Computer will either make an exchange with a similar product or I will proceed with legal action if the statutory period passes. I have informed them, and from this point on, it is up to them. I have communicated the decision. I will provide updates as developments occur.
