I’m writing to express my frustration with the Asics Gel-Nimbus 26 running shoes. I bought this model based on claims that it’s one of the best performance shoes in the world. But despite only wearing them for light walking (not even running) about 8–10 times over a 5–6 month winter period, the mesh upper tore—and I hadn’t even washed them yet!
When I visited the Asics store at Zorlu mall, they admitted the newer version had addressed these mesh issues, clearly suggesting they were aware of a flaw in this model. Still, after a product inspection, I received a standard response saying the damage was “not due to a manufacturing defect.” No detailed report. No proper explanation. No accountability.
Many others have also reported the same exact problem, yet Asics refuses to acknowledge it or take responsibility. To make matters worse, the shoe is now being sold for nearly half the price I paid.
Asics, this is unacceptable. You know there’s an issue with the material, and yet you continue to dismiss valid complaints. I demand that you take accountability, issue refunds or replacements for affected customers, and stop ignoring the feedback of loyal buyers. This product is not worth the price, nor the trust we placed in your brand.
