My Arçelik Refrigerator Repair Delayed

“I waited almost 2 weeks in the July heat for the service to come for the broken refrigerator. The Menemen authorized service did not show up for the appointment and offered excuses like "we can't always come to that area" / "we couldn't reach you by phone." Not only did my products spoil, but I also had to wait for my neighbor to come home from work in the evening for cold water. However, when the Arçelik service finally came, they replaced the broken refrigerator compressor and did not charge me. Therefore, although it was late, the mistake was corrected, and customer satisfaction was achieved. Customers need to be able to contact the local authorized service directly. If the service technician is not going to come to the appointment for some reason, the customer should not be kept waiting at home all day like a slave.”

On July 9, 2024, I called Arçelik about my malfunctioning refrigerator. They said the earliest they could come was a week later, on July 16, 2024. If they had come within 1-2 days, the food inside could have maintained its coolness and avoided spoilage. I explained the situation, but they insisted they could only come on the date shown in their system.

Today, Tuesday, July 16, they called to say they couldn't make it and would come on Friday instead. The Izmir Menemen service center is not honoring their scheduled appointment and has left me waiting with a broken refrigerator for 8 days now.

"The product exchange was carried out on February 28, 2025. I especially thank the representatives from Arçelik Customer Service who contacted me for the exchange. However, the authorized service, which detected the malfunction of a product that is less than 6 months old (2 months old) and used for storing food like a deep freezer in approximately 2 weeks (I received a response every day saying your repair is ongoing), needs to be warned for taking such a long time to conclude the process."
