Amazon Sent A Defective Thermometer
I purchased a thermometer from Amazon that arrived defective. After numerous phone calls to initiate a return, their resolution was simply "pay for it and then return it for a refund." Even 20 years ago, customer service wasn't this abysmal.
I condemn Amazon's handling of this situation. Whether this appalling experience is specific to their operations in Turkey or a global issue, I can't say for certain. However, they should seriously consider learning from their competitors' customer-centric approach.
In the end, I lost both my money and valuable time due to their incompetence. It's a shame to see such a giant corporation fail so miserably at basic customer satisfaction. I'm utterly disappointed by this ordeal and question whether I'll continue being an Amazon customer.
