Amazon Failed to Send Overseas-Ordered Item
On September 22, I ordered a vacuum cleaner and another device from Amazon.com.tr, which were supposed to be shipped from abroad. The product was dispatched on the same day, and on Saturday, September 30th, I received a call from the cargo company "Kolay Gelsin." They informed me that they don't make deliveries to my area and suggested that if I provided them with an address in a district with distribution services (the nearest one being an hour away), they could deliver there. I explained that this was not possible for me. We concluded our conversation with the understanding that I would contact Amazon to address the issue. When I contacted Amazon, I explained that I had been waiting for the product for ten days and wanted it to be delivered. I also questioned why my shipment was initially accepted for a region where the cargo company doesn't make deliveries. The customer representative assured me that they would look into the matter and take action. I requested that the cargo be transferred to a company that serves my district, and they agreed, although they mentioned there might be a shipping fee. I insisted that Amazon cover this fee, which they accepted. Ultimately, the customer representative informed me that they couldn't facilitate transfers to another cargo company due to the cargo company's policies. He assured me that if I placed a new order at my address, he would ensure it wasn't assigned to the same cargo company. I was genuinely pleased with the customer representative's helpful attitude. He spent 35 minutes trying to assist me. However, Amazon, as a company, was unable to completely resolve my issue. I had to place a new order, but it will take another 10-15 days for my product to arrive.
