Tesla Roadside Assistance Tow Truck Damaged My Car’s PPF and Paint

On the evening of Friday, August 28, 2026, I contacted Tesla Roadside Assistance for support after my vehicle got a flat tire, and a tow truck was dispatched to assist me. The vehicle was towed in the İncirtepe neighborhood of Esenyurt, Istanbul.

The tow truck operator who arrived told me that he had never towed a Tesla vehicle before, did not know where the vehicle’s tow hook was located, and could not find it because of the items in the trunk. He asked me to help him with this, but I explained that locating and properly handling the towing equipment should be part of the towing service and their responsibility.

The operator then attempted to open the cover on the front of the vehicle where the tow hook is installed by using a screwdriver. I explicitly told him that this was not the correct method and that Tesla vehicles have sensitive electronic and structural components that should not be accessed or handled with a screwdriver in this manner. Despite my warnings, he ignored my concerns and continued using the screwdriver.

As a result of this improper intervention, visible damage was caused to the PPF wrap and paint surface on the front of my vehicle. My vehicle’s license plate is 79 ABS 420. Although we contacted Tesla after the incident, we have not received any response or follow-up.

I request that the PPF and paint damage caused by the improper and careless intervention of the tow truck operator dispatched through Tesla Roadside Assistance be repaired by an authorized service center to the original quality and that Tesla fully cover all associated costs.
