Amazon Delayed My Karcher VC 3 Refund for 38 Days

To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this complaint with Amazon USA because I have been unable to resolve a refund issue with Amazon Turkey (Amazon.com.tr). Despite multiple contacts with their customer service, the problem remains unresolved and Turkish consumer protection laws have been ignored. On May 24, 2025, I purchased a “Karcher VC 3 Corded Bagless Vacuum Cleaner” (Order No: 171-0770122-3085132) and returned it, exercising my legal right of withdrawal. The item arrived at Amazon’s return depot on June 1, 2025, but the return status remained “Return may be lost” in their system, and the refund was not automatically processed. After waiting, I only received my refund on July 9, 2025—38 days after the product’s return—following my contact with customer service. According to Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, consumers have the right to withdraw within 14 days and sellers must refund within 14 days of receiving the returned product. Delays require payment of statutory late payment interest. Amazon Turkey violated these rules by delaying my refund beyond 14 days and refusing to pay the required interest, claiming “We do not have such a policy,” which cannot override legal obligations. I respectfully ask Amazon USA to investigate this issue, ensure the refund of ₺7,499.00 plus all applicable statutory interest from June 1, 2025, and take necessary action to prevent this problem in Amazon Turkey.
