Amazon Sent Me The Wrong Product And Now Won't Give Me A Refund


I purchased a Philips electric vacuum cleaner from Amazon. After about 1.5 months, the vacuum suddenly stopped working. I contacted Amazon customer service, and they offered to either accept a return or provide a replacement. When I requested a replacement, they gave me a shipping exchange number. I sent the product back to them and began waiting for the process to unfold. After a long period of silence, I reached out to them again, only to be told that the replacement wasn't approved and would be sent to me. I reluctantly agreed, but the product never arrived for almost a month. Some customer service representatives assured me with messages like, "You can trust me, I promise the product will be sent this time. I understand your frustration, I apologize for the inconvenience. It will definitely be sent this time." I was told to wait for 48 or 72 hours each time. As the process dragged on, it seems like the product got lost. They then informed me that a refund would be issued, including the price difference if I re-ordered the item. Initially, I accepted, but due to the problematic product, I didn't want to buy it again. So, I was forced to purchase a different product from another website. I was expecting the refund, but it was never processed. Every time I contacted them, they would say things like, "We have reported it to the warehouse, we are waiting for a response. It may take 7-14 days. I understand your situation, and I'm taking immediate action." As of today, no money has been credited to my account. The customer service representative I spoke to informed me that they had notified the warehouse, but they hadn't received a response, leaving them with no options. The product disappeared at the warehouse, the exchange wasn't processed, and the refund isn't being issued. It seems like no one is working at the Amazon warehouse, and there is no communication between customer service and the warehouse. Throughout this process that has lasted for approximately 3 months, my home has been a mess because I was waiting for them, I haven't received my money, and due to inflation in Turkey, I had to buy a vacuum at an exorbitant price. Even a company like Amazon seems to falter in Turkey. I have exchanged messages with around 8 customer service representatives, and now I realize that apart from evading the customer, they have no qualifications. I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee during the week. It will probably take 4-5 months, and the money I spent on the vacuum will be wasted during this process. What a disappointment.
