There is no customer protection on AliExpress, and the seller can easily victimize you. They send a different product than the one you bought on AliExpress. Although you pay customs duty on AliExpress, neither AliExpress nor the seller covers the customs tax, and when the product is delivered to Turkey, customs duty occurs, which you have to pay. I have described these situations I experienced on AliExpress since August 2023. AliExpress claims they forwarded this to a higher unit, but no action was taken, and they provided no response.
When I inquired whether AliExpress or the seller deducted customs duty from me and sent a document proving payment of this customs tax, they claimed they cannot provide this document. When I asked the system whether this tax was paid, they said they cannot answer. The customer is being victimized, and AliExpress remains silent on the matter.
On the seller page, it was stated that the drone brand I purchased is Xiaomi, with dimensions of 40 * 40 * 7.5 cm and an 8K camera. However, the drones sent were Drone PRO, with dimensions of 24 * 24 * 3.5 cm, and the camera is not 8K, being of very poor quality. The seller or AliExpress collects a significant amount of customs duty from the customer and fails to pay it. When I bought it, I was charged 2,008.63 TL in customs duty, but the actual fee was 1,257.40 TL, which I paid in Turkey. I bought a different drone and paid extra customs duty.
For this reason, when I attempted to return the products, I was informed that my total refund for the drone would be 4,016.97 TL, not 7,584.16 TL, with other fees deducted as expenses. Why should I be held responsible for the seller's behavior? There is no customer protection on AliExpress; instead, there is seller protection, allowing sellers to victimize people without any consequences. There is no recourse when you are victimized by AliExpress, and with no liaison offices in Turkey, there is no legal avenue to assert your rights.
