I Got Charged Twice on Airbnb After First Booking Was Canceled
I booked a house through Airbnb, but shortly after, the host canceled the reservation. Since we needed a place to stay, I booked a second property. Everything seemed fine until I checked my bank account and saw that Airbnb charged me for both reservations, including the one that had been canceled by the host!
This is absolutely ridiculous. I did not agree to pay for two houses, nor should I be penalized for a cancellation that wasn’t even my fault. Despite my attempts to contact Airbnb support, I’ve received no clear explanation or refund. Their system glitch led to a double booking, and now I’m stuck paying for two properties when I only stayed at one.
I demand a full refund for the reservation that was canceled. This is a failure on Airbnb’s part, and it’s unacceptable that they refuse to take responsibility for a problem caused by their own platform. I expect them to fix this immediately and compensate me for the inconvenience.
