Dirty Airbnb Rental, Unrefunded Reimbursement, and False Claims
My experience with Airbnb was nothing short of a nightmare. The door threshold was filthy, the refrigerator handle was a constant battle against fingerprints and grease, and dealing with ant swarms and persistent moths became a daily chore. After just five days, the situation became unbearable.
Despite our plans to travel to Kayseri, the landlord refused to refund our payment due to family issues. On the first day, exhausted, we were accused of hosting a party by the landlord, who alleged that three adults and two children had partied, a claim far from the truth.
The upper part of the house was cleaner, thankfully, as we had brought our own linens and towels. Adding insult to injury, we had paid a cleaning fee through Airbnb. It was a disgustingly unforgettable experience, and we felt deceived by meticulous interior reviews on the website.
While the pool, air conditioning, and washing machine were positives, the overall condition of the house was appalling. The landlord even left his own leftovers in the cupboard, urging us to consume them. The lower toilet emitted a constant unpleasant odor. On the last day, Mr. İ******* asked us to leave a five-star review, but our discomfort with itching, unpleasant smells, and the overall poor condition of the house made it impossible.
Why charge money under the guise of a service fee? We'll never book through Airbnb again and caution others not to be deceived. There's no way to contact anyone, and there's no one on the phone who speaks Turkish.
