Academia.edu Refusing Refund After Misleading Renewal Process
I thought I had canceled my Academia.edu subscription, but due to misleading navigation on the site, I ended up exiting without successfully completing the cancellation. I canceled again on the renewal day, but my account was blocked, and I was not informed that a payment would still be charged. I requested a refund, but I was told that it was not possible—even though I know others have received refunds before. I didn’t even cancel late.
Please stop causing hardship for users.
