Academia Edu Unauthorized ₺3000 Charge After Trial Membership

I signed up for a monthly trial membership on Academia Edu, but today my account was charged ₺3,000 for an annual subscription without any notification or approval. The payment was processed through online banking. As soon as I noticed this, I contacted Academia Edu both by email and through their complaint form, but the only response I received was that they are “experiencing high volume” and will respond later.

At no point during or after the registration process did I receive any confirmation email or notice that such a large payment would be taken. Because of this, I have already deleted my account. Still, I demand a full refund of the unauthorized ₺3,000 that was withdrawn without my consent. Customers must not be charged for expensive annual memberships without clear, explicit approval. Academia Edu needs to resolve this issue immediately and ensure transparent billing practices.
