Unacceptable Order Experience With Yemek Sepeti

On May 10, 2025, at 20:42, I placed a food order through the Yemeksepeti app from a newly opened restaurant from which I had previously ordered several times via a different platform. The estimated delivery time was shown as 40 to 65 minutes. In my past experiences with this restaurant through another platform, the delivery was always very fast. However, this time, the initially updated estimated delivery time was 21:35. The order was not delivered by then, and the delivery time was subsequently changed to 22:08. We waited again, but the time changed once more to 22:37. Then, at 22:37, the delivery time was updated yet again to 23:02. In the meantime, I was given a ₺90 compensation voucher through the app, which felt more like mockery than a meaningful resolution. You may take back the voucher. When the estimated delivery time was updated to 23:02, I realized that the order would likely never arrive, so I attempted to cancel it. I selected the "I want to cancel my order" option and reached out to live support. I explained the unacceptable issue I was experiencing and stated that I wanted to cancel my order. However, it was evident that the customer representative was not reading my messages at all. They kept repeating that the order was on its way and would be delivered by 23:02. I had already been reading this same update for two hours. Eventually, the representative told me to keep waiting and stated that my cancellation request could not be processed, but if the order was still not delivered by 23:02, I could then cancel it. When I asked, "If I can cancel it in half an hour, why can’t I cancel it now?" the representative abruptly cancelled my order and ended the chat in a manner that felt dismissive and disrespectful.
