Epic Games Charged Me $97 but Never Delivered Red Dead Redemption 2
On June 11, 2026, and June 12, 2026, I attempted to purchase the game Red Dead Redemption 2 through Epic Games twice in total. In both transactions, ₺2,299 was charged, resulting in a total of ₺4,598 ($97). The payments were taken from my Akbank account through Epic Games’ bank transfer/IBAN payment method, with the reference information “8543450013” included in the payment description. However, the game was never added to my Epic Games account.
On June 12, 2026, I contacted Epic Games Support about the issue. I was informed that the payment had been rejected by Xsolla, that the amount would be refunded to my Akbank account, and that I could try the purchase again if I wanted. Based on this information, I attempted the purchase again on June 12, 2026, using the same amount. Once again, money was taken from my account, but the game was still not added.
Despite repeatedly trying to contact Epic Games and Xsolla through email and Şikayetvar, I have not received any proper response. I was told that the refund had been processed and would appear in my bank account within a maximum of 10 days. However, more than 20 business days have passed, and I still have not received any refund. When I contacted Akbank, I was informed that there was no pending refund transaction visible on my account.
I am experiencing serious financial loss because my total payment of ₺4,598 ($97) has still not been returned. I request that both transactions be investigated as soon as possible and that the full amount be refunded to my Akbank account without further delay.

“Hello again,
I will provide you with detailed information regarding the issue. First of all, I noticed that you experienced some problems during your purchase. Due to these issues, the purchase was not completed. Since the purchase was not completed, it did not appear in your game account. For unsuccessful purchases, Epic Games does not process the charge.
Since the purchase was not completed, if there is a game you would like to buy, I recommend trying to purchase it again.
If money was deducted from your account, since this payment was not processed through Epic Games, bank representatives or your payment service provider can provide information about when the funds will be transferred back to your account. Since only the relevant payment providers can access purchase details, you will need to contact their support representatives for more detailed information.
If you have any other questions, you can always contact us here.
Best regards,
Epic Games Support Representative”
