Weewell Humidifier Failed Within Six Months and Was Denied Warranty Coverage
Last year, I purchased a Weewell ionizer humidifier for approximately $108, paying about $118 in total including shipping, because I wanted to buy the best product possible for my child. The product developed a malfunction before I had even been able to use it for a full six months.
I sent the device to an authorized service center for repair under warranty. However, the service report I received stated that the product was excluded from warranty coverage due to the use of hard water and the use of fragrance underneath the device, and that I would have to pay approximately $24 for the repair. We absolutely never used any fragrance with this device, and the fragrance reservoir is still completely full. We also cleaned the product regularly, approximately every two days. Despite this, I do not accept having the entire responsibility placed on the customer based on claims of limescale buildup and fragrance use.
For a product with such a simple function that is supposed to operate using only water, experiencing this level of failure and then being told that it is the customer's fault and being charged an additional repair fee for a product that should still be covered by warranty has caused me both financial and emotional frustration. If I am paying this much for a product, I expect the company to stand behind it and provide meaningful assistance to its customers.
I request that my device be repaired free of charge under warranty or replaced with a defect-free product. I also request that the approximately $24 repair fee being demanded from me be canceled. I expect the company to address the negative experience I have had regarding product quality, the approach taken by the technical service center, and customer satisfaction.
