Volkswagen Miram Service Tried To Overcharge Me
My Volkswagen Jetta with license plate 27 …… was accepted for repairs at Malatya Volkswagen authorized service (Miram) on January 6, 2024. A damage file was opened by Anadolu Insurance. On January 17, 2024, an employee (named O**** or V*****) from your team called me at 0549*****4407, claiming that despite only one of my tires being flat, I had to buy two tires. He insisted that if I didn't agree, the repair process wouldn't proceed, and my car wouldn't be fixed. He informed me of this 11 days after accepting my car. When I mentioned filing a complaint with the Consumer Court if they didn't complete the repair, he distorted the issue by saying, "Are you threatening me?" Later, another person claiming to be more authoritative, named Burak, called, stating I could buy one tire instead of two but had to pay half the tire cost. He mentioned the tire price as ₺3000, while online research showed it was ₺2000. Moreover, my Anadolu insurance had assured on the same day that the full tire cost would be covered. Currently, my car has been waiting at the authorized service for 11 days, and Miram is attempting to sell me a tire despite my insurance coverage. This is a clear attempt at unjust enrichment. I expect an immediate detailed explanation and assurance from Volkswagen Miram service officials that my car will be repaired swiftly and safely. Otherwise, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Court.
