On June 28, 2024, I fully paid for and ordered an Opel Mokka from Asal Otomotiv. The dealer promised delivery within 7-10 days, but this didn't happen. They informed me the issue was with Opel Turkey.
My first contact with Opel Turkey's customer service was on July 3. On July 5, Ms. Mevsim responded, stating the car had cleared customs and was undergoing quality control, promising an update on delivery.
After receiving no further information, I called again on July 10, requesting a delivery date and a courtesy car. On July 12, Ordu Ateş dealership contacted me about the courtesy car, but I realized the situation wasn't being taken seriously when they suggested a dealership 1000 km away for a car I purchased in Istanbul.
Despite calling Opel Turkey again on July 16, 18, and 20, 2024, I've received no updates on delivery or the courtesy car.
Due to this delay, we've had to extend our car rental, incurring additional costs. We've also lost interest on our ₺1,330,000 payment made on June 28, and are losing days on pre-paid insurance and kasko.
After 23 days without a confirmed delivery date, we suspect there might be mechanical or body issues with the car. We advise potential Opel buyers to be cautious, avoid paying for unavailable cars, and insist on contracts with penalty clauses.
In short, buying an Opel has been disappointing. Don't be misled by prices and act hastily.
