Truly unbelievable! The Vestel refrigerator I purchased broke down almost like clockwork right after 5 years of use. It started slowly defrosting without showing any error codes, and eventually stopped working altogether. The result? Dozens of kilos of meat, minced meat, and frozen products went completely to waste. We called the service team, and in April 2025 they replaced the mainboard. They assured us the problem was solved. Yet, not even six months later, the exact same issue happened again. First the interior lights failed, then the ice melted, and the refrigerator stopped working entirely. Water flooded the floor, and once again all the food was ruined. The financial loss is one thing, but the stress and frustration are another. We trusted and chose Vestel because it’s a local brand, but the quality is far below expectations. The refrigerator turned out to be nothing but a problem generator. I also bought a Vestel air conditioner and faced similar issues. You end up constantly dealing with service calls, which wears customers down. What frustrates me the most is that this feels like a clear example of planned obsolescence. The moment the warranty ends, the device starts failing. You replace parts, and soon the same issue repeats. I can’t help but feel that the products are intentionally designed to be short-lived just to sell spare parts. The conclusion from my experience is this: it is extremely difficult to get long-term reliability from Vestel products. After 5–6 years, I can honestly say that all my expectations have been completely disappointed.

I am truly experiencing a process that would test anyone’s patience. In my previous complaint, I had explained in detail the malfunction I experienced with my Vestel refrigerator, but what has happened since then has only made the problem worse instead of solving it. The technicians from the service came, plugged in the device, and tried to brush off the situation by saying, “The refrigerator is working, there’s no problem, brother.” However, I stated that the device was not working, that I had done electronic measurements myself, and that the problem was persistent. After a while, they changed their minds and said, “Okay, I guess we can handle it under warranty.” But then they said something even more surprising: They claimed there was actually another issue, that there was a problem with the door sensor, and that the price of the part was exactly 1,900 TL! In other words, a sensor was more expensive than even the motherboard that had been replaced before. It’s truly an unbelievable situation. They told me, “It’ll arrive in 3-4 days, we’ll take care of it,” but as of today, it’s been exactly two weeks and still no progress! No one is calling, no one is checking in. When I called the authorized service, the lady on the phone was extremely uninterested and cut off communication by saying, “We’ve placed the order, there’s nothing we can do.” So, while I’m waiting for a solution as a customer, all I’m met with is a wall of indifference. During this process, no information is provided, no follow-up is done, and not the slightest effort is made for customer satisfaction. The reason? Apparently, the motherboard is coming from the huge Vestel factory and they don’t know when... Right now, I’ve been without a refrigerator for two weeks and I’m experiencing serious hardship at home. Food has gone to waste, and daily life has been completely disrupted. If such a simple malfunction is dragging on this long, it means there is a serious systemic problem.

"We continue our story with the slogan "Why should it be with Vestel if it didn't work out." They wrote a response here saying they are interested in the story, etc., but no one called, emailed, came, or went. So, we were left with what we wrote here. Gradually, I will share the problems we experienced with other products as well. Please think not twice but ten times before buying Vestel. It looks like a high-quality product with a polished exterior, but in fact, they sell problematic products of the lowest quality. Vestel is regret. You are literally humiliated with your money. They also do everything to extend the warranty period. Vestel is regret."
