Unfair Treatment by Turkish Airlines During Boarding for Konya Flight
Today, I had a 10:40 AM domestic flight to Konya with Turkish Airlines. As an elite passenger, I usually check in my luggage at the lounge and proceed to the boarding gate. While monitoring the screens in the lounge, I saw the blue announcement for Konya. I always wait for the final red call before heading to the gate, as I fly four times a week. However, I did not see the red final call for Konya on the screen, or it might have flashed for just 30 seconds. When the announcement ended, I rushed to the boarding gate, which was very close by. Despite this, they told me the shuttle had already left and I couldn't board because I didn't arrive while the announcement was on the screen. I explained that I am a dialysis patient and had everything arranged for my treatment in Konya, but they still refused to let me board. They claimed there was nothing they could do since I missed the announcement on the screen. There was no personal announcement either. I could have missed the Konya announcement due to a distraction or an issue, but in Ankara and Konya, they make personal announcements, unlike in Istanbul. The red final call should stay on the screen for at least 4-5 minutes, but it disappeared in less than a minute. I ran to the gate but was not allowed to board. They sent the shuttle away hastily. There is no refund for my ticket, and the behavior was exactly as described. The Konya announcement was at 10:28 AM, but it wasn't on the screen yet. After it appeared, they closed the final call in less than a minute and said I missed the flight. Despite being a dialysis patient and explaining my situation, they did not let me board. They acted against boarding rules and left me stranded. My ticket money is gone, and there is no refund! I am filing this complaint in the hope that the relevant authorities read it. This is not the first time this has happened; they have done this to me several times before and just said it was bad luck. This is the first time I am writing about it.
