Turkish Airlines Refused Refund for Unused Ticket After Family Emergency
I'm not allowed to use the ticket I paid for with Turkish Airlines, even if I haven't used it yet and the date hasn't arrived. On January 31st, while in Germany, I received word that my nephew had died in Turkey and that I immediately needed to be there for the funeral. As a result, I ordered another expensive ticket with Turkish Airlines. I previously had a round-trip ticket from Bremen to Istanbul on February 14th and from Istanbul to Bremen on April 8th, however my outbound flight was not used, so my ticket was placed on hold. Following the funeral, I discovered that I would be unable to take my return trip from Istanbul to Bremen on April 8. Regarding this matter, I uploaded the information from the high-priced ticket purchased from Turkish Airlines and the funeral burial record got from the prosecutor's office to their computers. However, I generally received responses such as 'we cannot assist you due to our restrictions'. Despite phoning several times, I was unable to address the issue. In summary, Turkish Airlines, a world-renowned airline, sells you a ticket but does not enable you to use it. Despite the fact that April 8th has not yet arrived and I have my ticket, it has been placed on hold without my request, and I am unable to utilize my flight. The appropriate ticket numbers are listed below: The ticket number for the Germany-Turkey flight I purchased for emergency reasons is 2352216341578, which is the same as the one for the funeral on January 31st. The ticket number for the round-trip ticket I previously purchased in Germany is 2352213476046. Furthermore, the necessary funeral burial documents are attached.
