Turkish Airlines Ticket Purchase Issue
On September 25, 2023, I went to Ankara Airport to board the 18:55 flight to Van Airport with my Turkish Airlines ticket, PNR code r3bnjj.
When my turn came to complete my ticket procedures at 18:16, I approached the counter. As I was about to receive my ticket, I informed the counter agent that I had a firearm and that the police officer at the firearm delivery desk was waiting to take my firearm along with other firearms onto the plane. When I requested a firearm ticket, the agent told me that the purchase process was closed. Without providing any information or obtaining my consent, they handed me a late application ticket and sent me away to buy a ticket for another date.
When I informed the police officer that the flight procedures were closed and they couldn't take my firearm, he mentioned that the other firearms hadn't been taken yet and left to deliver the other firearms onto the plane.
Since the boarding time on my ticket created via the mobile application was 18:25, I went based on that time. Without giving me any information, the agent handling the ticket procedures acted arbitrarily and issued me a late application ticket, making me pay an additional ₺1000+ to get a ticket for the next flight on the morning of September 26, 2023, around 06-07. I expect an explanation from Turkish Airlines regarding this matter.
