Turkish Airlines Ticket Exchange Issue for Flight TK7264
On 31.07.2023, I wanted to change the ticket for flight TK7264 at 01:15 to Adana, which I had purchased earlier, at your sales office. However, the ticket exchange was not allowed due to it being a promotional ticket. Consequently, on 30.07.2023, I bought a new ticket for flight TK4370 to Adana at 20:25 for ₺2520 around 17:40 on 30.07.2023. An hour later, I was contacted by your transfer office, who informed me that they could reschedule my night flight to an earlier time. I explained the situation to the transfer office, which was unaware of the new ticket purchase. I requested the cancellation of the night flight (01:15) since this process could have been done for free. I did not receive any information for about an hour. When I called back regarding the issue, I was told that the new flight was imminent and that if I came, the cancellation would be processed, but in this case, we would miss the plane. Additionally, I was informed that their supervisor did not approve the cancellation. Meanwhile, the 20:25 flight was delayed by more than an hour. My only question is, is it fair or ethical to charge the consumer more when a solution is available?
