Turkish Airlines Ticket Change Request Due to Medical Treatment
Approximately 7 months ago, I purchased tickets from Turkish Airlines (THY) for 4 people to travel to Montenegro on July 2nd. In mid-May, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery. Currently, I am undergoing radiotherapy. Despite sending medical reports to THY indicating that my treatment would not be completed by the travel date, and requesting only a 15-20 day postponement of the flight tickets, THY offered us a travel voucher valid only for international travel, based on the ticket price from 7 months ago. This 'generosity' was extended only to my spouse who shares the same last name. Thank you, THY, for your understanding. What more unexpected surprises could life hold? Additionally, the return leg of the round-trip ticket was already eligible for a free change due to a schedule change.
