THY Flight Ticket Issue Due to Health Emergency
On October 21, 2023, we purchased tickets for three people from THY. However, about a week before the flight, one of our passengers was diagnosed with lung cancer and was advised by the doctor to undergo immediate surgery. Consequently, we contacted THY and put the tickets on hold. The representative informed us that we could rebook the tickets by paying an additional ₺350 per person, which we agreed to. After the surgery, when we tried to rebook the tickets with the doctor's approval, we were charged an additional ₺3,812. We objected and asked them to check their records. They requested the surgery documents, which we sent. Now, they have responded negatively. However, they can change our return tickets for November without asking anyone due to a flight change. They claim to care about everyone, yet they shamelessly demand an additional fee even when someone has undergone cancer surgery. Shame on them.
