Turkish Airlines Flight Delay Cost Me ₺1000
On August 30th, my THY flight from Bodrum to Istanbul, originally scheduled for 16:00, was rescheduled to 17:20 without any explanation. The flight number is TK 2515. Due to this delay, my workplace shuttle could not pick me up. Initially, when the delay was changed to 16:40, I had organized my workplace shuttle accordingly. However, the delay was then extended to 17:20, causing my shuttle arrangement to be completely canceled. As a result, I had to pay ₺450 for a taxi, and my friend, who also had a ticket, had to pay ₺490. The reason I chose THY over cheaper options like Pegasus or Anadolu Jet was to avoid such delays. However, while Pegasus and Anadolu Jet flights departed on time, I had to wait an additional hour and a half for the THY flight. I ended up paying an extra ₺990 for the taxi. I am requesting THY to compensate for this inconvenience. This issue not only affects my personal flights but will also influence my company's choice of airline for future domestic and international flights. If necessary, I will pursue my rights through social media and legal channels. I request a prompt response.
