Turkish Airlines Flight Delay and Ticket Issue
On November 14th, I purchased a ticket with my card for my son for the 13:10 scheduled flight from Sabiha Gökçen to Adana on November 25th, accepting all possible conditions. Despite leaving home very early that day, when I arrived at the counter at 13:00, the staff informed me that the process was complete and the ticket was void. Although I accept that this is the normal procedure, flights from Sabiha Gökçen Airport were all delayed by over an hour that day, which everyone knew. The flight I supposedly missed actually took off at 15:00 instead of 13:20. Why close the counter and gate at 13:00 and then keep passengers waiting on the plane for two hours? Did the company that voided my ticket compensate the passengers on the plane? My point is, due to unusual circumstances that day, the company should have allowed me to board the plane; or did they sell my seat to someone else? I suspect double booking and therefore request a full refund to my card without any deductions.
