Turkish Airlines Flight Experience Affected by Weather Conditions
On November 25th, during the Istanbul-Adana route, flight TK2470 at 20:40 attempted multiple landings but eventually diverted to Gaziantep due to adverse weather conditions. However, while we were trying to land at 23:30, we noticed another Turkish Airlines flight landing at the same airport. If the weather was so bad, how did the other flight manage to land, and why couldn't we? Was our flight crew experienced enough? Our flight landed in Gaziantep at 00:12, and without any explanation, we were disembarked because the plane had to return to Istanbul. We were left stranded in an unfamiliar city, and despite multiple calls to customer service, the responses were unsatisfactory. We were forced outside the airport and left in the cold for about 2 hours, not allowed indoors. Our health was put at risk, and we were not even offered tea. Around midnight, we were handed over to an unknown bus driver, facing risks of accidents on the highway. We took a wrong turn and had to reverse on the highway, eventually getting off at a gas station and taking a taxi back. This is how we ended up spending our ticket money. Turkish Airlines put us in danger without any explanation, trying to resolve the issue with cheap buses, resulting in our suffering. If I am going to spend a sleepless night, why did I pay so much for a flight ticket? We were supposed to arrive home at 22:30 but reached at 06:30. Who will compensate for our financial and emotional distress? No Turkish Airlines official provided any explanation, leaving us stranded in an unfamiliar city. We will be reaching out to all necessary authorities and pursuing all our rights. We have the necessary photos and videos regarding the incident.
