Turkish Airlines Flight Booking Issue with Special Characters in Name
I booked a flight ticket from Booking.com's Germany site. The 'u' character in my name was written as 'UE' on the ticket. The THY customer representative on the phone mentioned that this could cause a problem during check-in. Since the ticket was purchased through a third-party agency, they said they couldn't change my name. The agency claimed there was no mistake, as 'u' is written as 'UE' in German. Despite my efforts through emails and phone calls for 4-5 hours, they kept asking me to resend my passport, even though I had already sent it before. Each time, a different employee responded, trying to pass the responsibility to someone else. Additionally, there was nothing to correct on the ticket. I am boycotting them and will share this experience everywhere.
