Issue with Passenger Rights on Turkish Airlines Website
THY does not grant the same rights for tickets purchased through its own website as it does for tickets purchased through an agency. On 08.04.2024, I bought two tickets through the THY website. Despite the payment being processed initially, I received an insufficient balance error, and the tickets were not issued. Approximately 10 minutes later, my payment was refunded. However, while trying to rebook the tickets to avoid missing the price, I accidentally entered one of the passenger's first and last names in reverse. For tickets purchased through an agency, THY advises contacting the agency to void the ticket and receive a full refund. However, for tickets purchased through their own website, they state that voiding is not possible. Are passengers making a mistake by choosing THY's own website over an agency? I urgently request that THY contact me and, if necessary, void the ticket.
