For my flight at 6:30 AM, I arrived at the boarding gate at 06:03 AM. The gates were open, and two passengers in front of me were heading towards the gate. When I presented my ID and electronic ticket to the gate personnel, they informed me that I could not board the plane.
I pointed out that the gates were still open and the passengers in front of me had just walked through, so they could allow me to board as well. However, the staff explained that normally passengers are accepted until 20 minutes before the flight, which would be 06:10 AM, but for this flight, the gates were closed 30 minutes prior due to an operational requirement. Despite this, the passengers in front of me boarded after the 30-minute mark, yet I was denied boarding.
Additionally, I was not informed of this situation via SMS or any other means, and there was no announcement or verbal warning from the gate personnel. Even though I emphasized that I am a lawyer and needed to fly to Konya for a court hearing, I was still not allowed to board.
I reserve the right to pursue all legal, criminal, and administrative avenues regarding this matter. Moreover, my ticket fee was not refunded.
