Issues with Overbooking on Turkish Airlines Istanbul-Antalya Flight
On 07.08.2023 at 16:20, despite meeting all the requirements and completing our procedures well in advance, I was not allowed to board the THY flight from Istanbul to Antalya due to overbooking. Although there was a 17:30 flight, I had to wait at the airport until the 23:00 flight. They informed me that they would compensate me with 100€ and that I needed to provide an Is Bankasi IBAN for the payment, or I could collect it from Antalya airport in cash. However, they didn't have cash at Antalya and didn't make the payment. I went back a few days later, but they still didn't have the money and sent me back. Despite multiple requests to customer service, they promised to respond within 2 days, then 7 days, but never did. We are still waiting. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, and I will never choose THY again. Selling the same seat to multiple passengers is unfair.
