Turkish Airlines Denied My Parents Lounge Access With Elite Card

As a Turkish Airlines Elite card holder, today at Istanbul Airport I wanted to enter the lounge with my family. However, I was told that I could only bring one family member and that this restriction did not apply to spouses and children. As a single individual, when I say “family” I mean my mother and father, and it is my most natural right to want them by my side. Despite this, I was informed that I could not bring my parents into the lounge. Even though I pay significant fees and spend a large number of miles for the Elite card, being unable to enjoy this service with my family is a major injustice. Defining the concept of “family” solely as spouses and children disregards the family bonds of single people, and I cannot accept such discrimination. I request that this rule be changed as soon as possible, that the concept of family be approached in a truly inclusive way, and that my parents also be allowed to benefit from the lounge service.
