Turkish Airlines - Denied Boarding and Unaccompanied Minor Issue

To the General Directorate of Turkish Airlines,

On September 3, 2023, I had tickets for a Trabzon-Ankara flight and a return flight from Ankara to Trabzon on September 5, 2023. We arrived at Trabzon Airport around 04:40 on September 3. During the ticket check, I realized I had forgotten my ID card at home and called my family to bring it immediately. Despite informing the staff that my ID was on its way, they caused issues. My ID arrived 30 minutes before the flight departure. While I was waiting, I learned that my underage nephew had been boarded without my knowledge. Despite pleading with the police, security, and ground staff, no one helped me.

When I mentioned that my minor child was on the plane without any money, I was told there was nothing they could do. I wanted to reach the authority or the pilot, but they prevented me. All my desperate running around the airport is recorded on security cameras. I want to know who will account for the fear and victimization I experienced.

Later, they offered to sell me a ticket for the 10:30 flight. Meanwhile, I found out that a male passenger was seated in my place on the plane. They said, 'You can't board, so we'll deboard your child.' I replied, 'If the doors are closed and you are deboarding the child, you can let me board as well.'

I also learned that your staff offered 100€ to my nephew's friend, who was supposed to fly with us, to reschedule his flight to the next one. I want an explanation of which ethical guidelines this action follows.

Since I was not allowed to board, I had to buy a ticket for the 05:50 flight on September 4, 2023. My nephew was left stranded at the airport in Ankara without me. On September 5, 2023, I learned that my return ticket from Esenboğa Airport was canceled. To prevent my nephew from flying alone again, I had to buy a ticket for the same seat for ₺2500. Experiencing the same issues in Ankara after Trabzon deeply saddened me.

I demand an explanation for this unfortunate incident and an immediate resolution of my grievances. Everything is recorded on camera. The ticket numbers, seats, and dates are all documented.

It is recorded that an underage minor was taken to another city without permission. Rest assured, I will take this matter to TV channels, social media, and legal routes. It is unbecoming of a world-renowned institution like yours to be so indifferent. I urgently await your response and solution.
