Turkish Airlines Delayed Flight Caused Missed Connection
We were scheduled to fly from Iğdır to Antalya with a layover in Istanbul via Turkish Airlines. On 07.08.2023, our flight was supposed to depart at 9:25 AM, but the plane did not land in Iğdır on time, causing a 50-minute delay to Istanbul. Our connecting flight to Antalya was at 1:05 PM, and we missed it. My spouse, my 6-year-old son, and I were traveling together. As a result, Turkish Airlines rescheduled us on the 9:20 PM flight. Instead of arriving in Antalya at 2:25 PM, we landed at 10:40 PM. We had previously booked a hotel in Antalya, and due to Turkish Airlines' negligence, we lost one day of our stay. We were stranded at the airport for over 8 hours, causing significant discomfort to all of us. Considering we paid a total of €1200 for the hotel, we request compensation for at least one day's stay (€200).
