Turkish Airlines Damaged My Medium Cabin Bag on My Flight
I returned my luggage intact for my TK 2748 Istanbul-Van flight dated July 21, 2025. However, when I retrieved my luggage at Van Airport, I noticed cracks on the emblem on the front of my suitcase and peeling surfaces from friction. There were no cracks or scratches on my luggage when I returned it. I immediately reported the incident to the relevant department and was told to take photos and submit an application online. I submitted my application and submitted the review form. My application was referred to the compensation department, but I received a negative response. Their statement after the review stated that the suitcase had scratches from previous use and that these scratches did not impede its use. However, I am expected to use a broken suitcase; I absolutely refuse this approach. The cracks and peeling on my suitcase occurred during the flight; they were not like this when I returned it. I then contacted customer service again, and my suitcase was reviewed again, but I received another negative response. My application tracking number is 2025160083. My suitcase is a medium-sized cabin bag, and I purchased it last year for around ₺800-850. Since I bought it last year, I can't remember the exact price, but it was around that price. I don't want to use a broken suitcase and I'm requesting compensation for my grievances. I'm requesting a replacement or financial compensation.
