EconomyBookings Has Not Refunded My Car Rental Security Deposit

On March 20, 2026, I rented a Renault Taliant vehicle through the EconomyBookings website for 5 days and picked up the car from the Avalon Rent A Car branch at Kayseri Airport. During the contract process, I was told that a $1,052 credit card pre-authorization would be placed as a security deposit. However, instead of a temporary authorization hold, the amount was directly charged to my card. I was informed that this amount would be refunded after 21 days. The amount was converted using the current TRY/USD exchange rate and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

Despite the fact that more than 21 days have passed, the money has still not been returned to my account and the charge appears as a debt on my credit card statement. I have the signed rental agreement, payment slip, and bank statement as evidence of this transaction.

Although there were no penalties, damages, or additional charges related to the rental, I do not accept having $1,052 held as a credit card debt for such a long period. I request that the full $1,052 be refunded to my card immediately and that I receive clear written confirmation that this refund transaction has been completed.
